Our law firm

The Nicastro Law Firm has its headquarters  in a historic structure in Turin, at No. 11 Piazza Statuto.

This is one of the most prominent squares in Turin’s western historic center. It was the last of the major squares constructed during the Risorgimento period in the Savoy capital, and it is distinguished by exquisite structures with wide porticoes along its perimeter.

With the foundation of the newly created Kingdom of Italy in 1861, King Victor Emmanuel II of Savoy gave momentum to the completion of the reputation of Turin, by then the Kingdom’s capital, by starting the planned construction to widen the Porta Susa area.

The work was entrusted to the London-based Italian Building Society Ltd. which, in 1863, began construction of the buildings that currently surround the square. The designing architect was Giuseppe Bollati, who gave a neoclassical style to the project.

The square was dedicated to the Statuto Albertino, the monarchical constitution written by his predecessor, King Charles Albert of Savoy.
